As the election season ramps up, it’s important to make sure you are ready to vote and that your voice is heard in the upcoming elections. Here are some key steps to take to ensure you are prepared to cast your ballot:

Review your voter registration status:

One crucial step to take is to review your voter registration to ensure it has not been purged. Voter purging is a process that removes individuals from voter registration lists. If you didn’t vote in the last general election your voter registration may have been purged. To check your voter registration status contact the Campbell County Clerk at 307) 682-7285 to check.

Register to vote or change your registration:

If you are not registered to vote, take the time to do so now. In Wyoming you do not have the option to register online so you will need to either register in person or by mail (and if you register by mail you will need to get your registration form notarized). If you have moved or changed your name, be sure to update your voter registration with your new information. It’s a good idea print the Wyoming Voter Registration form and fill it out ahead of time before signing in front of the county clerk or a notary.

Request an absentee ballot:

If you are unable to vote in person on Election Day, consider requesting an absentee ballot. This will allow you to vote from the comfort of your own home and ensure your voice is heard in the election. Be sure to submit your request early to allow time for processing and mailing.
