I’m a lifelong Democrat, and every single day I wake up with the intention of doing at least one thing to make this world a little bit better and to change the landscape of the world we exist in. My goal is to make it just a little bit kinder and more beneficial for average citizens at the local, state, and national level. I’m happily married to my high-school sweetheart, Russ, and I’m the proud mother of five grown children and two teenage grandsons. For a living, I’m a food writer with a food blog and a cookbook, and for fun, I love to read, garden, and spend time with friends and family.

State Committee Man – Billy Montgomery

A Missouri native, I proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1971, including a tour in Vietnam as an Artillery Crew Member (1970-1971). After my military service, I dedicated 34 years to Burlington Northern Railway, later Burlington Northern Santa Fe, retiring as a Brakeman/Conductor. My commitment to community continued with nine years of service on the Gillette City Council.
